Resin Veneers

Absolute Dental Center

Afraid of a “fake” result? It’s our priority to avoid it.

In the era of mass aesthetics, the greatest concern of our patients is common:
“I don’t want my teeth to look strange on me, overly white, or fake.”

At Absolute Dental Center, we take a fundamentally different approach. We strictly follow Biomimetic Dentistry. This means our goal is not to simply cover your teeth with material, but to faithfully replicate the optical and functional properties of natural enamel.
Modern Resin Veneers (Composite Veneers) applied by Dr. Georgios Theodoropoulos are high-precision micro-sculpting. Using advanced materials, we “build” the tooth layer by layer, giving it not only the desired shape but also the lifelike vitality of a natural tooth.

What Makes Our Veneers Look So Natural?

To “trick” the eye into believing it’s seeing a natural tooth, we focus on three details that most people overlook:
1.Translucency: Natural teeth are not monochromatic. At their incisal edge, they have a natural translucency that allows light to pass through. We recreate this “halo effect” to avoid a plastic, opaque appearance (the “chiclet teeth effect”).
2. Texture & Micro-morphology: If you look at a natural tooth under a microscope, it is not perfectly smooth. It has microscopic grooves that diffuse light. Using specialized polishing techniques, we recreate this invisible texture so your smile shines naturally under any lighting, day or night.
3. Polychromatic Layering: Instead of using a single shade, we combine 3 to 4 different resin shades (body, enamel, translucent) to create depth and a natural three-dimensional (3D) effect.

“The perfect smile is the one that enhances your facial features, without anyone realizing you’ve had work done.”

Bonding & Tooth Lifting: A Procedure

Resin veneers (Bonding) are the ideal choice for those seeking immediate improvement with the least invasive procedure.
● Immediate Result (Same Day Smile): Unlike porcelain veneers, which require a laboratory, bonding is usually completed in a single appointment at our clinic in Kolonaki.

When is Bonding recommended (Indications):
● ✔ Repair of chipped or worn edges.
● ✔ Closing gaps (spacing/diastema).
● ✔ Color improvement for teeth that do not respond to whitening.
● ✔ Correction of slightly misaligned teeth (Instant Orthodontics).
● ✔ Lengthening of teeth for a more youthful smile (Smile Lifting).
● ✔ Patients with chronic bruxism.
● ✔ Aesthetic enhancement for a Hollywood smile.

See the key differences to choose what best suits your needs:

Characteristic Resin Veneers (Bonding) Porcelain Veneers
Natural Appearance Excellent (with layering technique) Top-tier (durability & glass-like texture)
Tooth Preparation Minimal Requires preparation/grinding
Time 1 Appointment (Immediate application) 2–3 Appointments (Laboratory work)
Cost More Affordable Higher
Durability / Lifespan 8–10 Years (with basic maintenance) 10-12 Years
Repair Easy & Immediate in the clinic Requires replacement

Our Process: From Vision to Reality

1. Digital Smile Design (DSD): We analyze your facial features and design a smile that matches your unique appearance.
2. Artistic Application: Dr. Theodoropoulos shapes the veneers directly in your mouth (free-hand technique), working like a sculptor.
3. Final Polishing & High-Gloss: We apply high-tech polishing protocols for durability, a smooth feel, and a natural, long-lasting shine.

Frequently Asked Questions about Composite Veneers (FAQ)

Do composite veneers get stained from coffee or smoking?
The modern composite materials we use at Absolute Dental Center offer high durability and color stability. However, they are more porous than porcelain. To keep their color “clean,” we recommend an annual maintenance polishing at our clinic, which restores their original shine in just a few minutes.

How long do bonding results last?
With good oral hygiene, composite veneers last on average 8 to 10 years. Their main advantage (compared to porcelain) is that they can be easily and affordably repaired or refreshed (“freshen up”) without removing the entire restoration.

Is the procedure painful?
The application of composite veneers is an extremely gentle procedure. With the use of appropriate local anesthesia, we ensure your appointment is completely painless, allowing you to feel safe and relaxed while we shape your smile.

What is the cost of composite veneers in Athens?
The cost is significantly lower than porcelain veneers. Since every smile is unique (number of teeth, complexity), we invite you to schedule a consultation appointment in Kolonaki to receive a personalized quote tailored to your needs.
